Location/Region: This position is located in Toronto.

What’s the role?

The Application Engineer will be responsible for training our customers on ZEISS Industrial Metrology hardware and software systems while also providing metrology services and supporting pre- and post-sales activities. This role requires a strong customer orientation and professional conduct at all times. The Applications Engineer will conduct training sessions, assist with metrology services, and provide technical support to ensure customer satisfaction

and successful use of our systems.

Here’s What You’ll Do

  • Customer Training:
    • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality training sessions on ZEISS Industrial Metrology software and systems, both in-house and at customer locations.
    • Conduct specialized "customer-driven" training classes to enhance customer understanding and application of our systems.
  • Metrology Services Support:
    • Operate and manage ZEISS measuring devices and associated software suites at the Quality Excellence Center.
    • Deliver inspection reports and ensure the accuracy and repeatability of measurement systems.
    • Assist in quoting metrology services and ensure timely delivery of results to customers.
  • Pre- and Post-Sales Support:
    • Provide technical consultation to the sales team and customers regarding advanced applications and systems during product demonstrations, at our QEC or customer location.
    • Respond to customer inquiries related to software/applications support and troubleshoot issues effectively.
Do you qualify?

  • A four-year degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related discipline is required. Equivalent work-related experience may be considered.
  • Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings and possess an understanding of 3D mathematics and programming techniques in modern scientific computer languages.
  • Experience with ZEISS software products, particularly Calypso, is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and comfort presenting technical information to small or large audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn independently to address customer challenges.
