TITLE: Therapy Assistant (PTA/OTA)

Temporary Part-Time (Approx. 6 months)

PROGRAM: Long Term Care

HRS OF WORK: Day shifts (may include weekends)

RATE OF PAY: Start Rate 9 Months 18 Months

$31.57 $32.19 $32.62

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate from a formal training program in Occupational Therapy Assistant and Physiotherapy Assistant at a Ministry of Education approved community college.
• Minimum of six (6) months experience of both OTA and PTA practice. Experience working in a hospital, Long Term Care, Outpatient clinic or Rehab setting preferred
• Meets Physiotherapist and Occupational therapist competency checklist
• Demonstrates good communication, accountability, organization and interpersonal skills
• Time management skills
• Adaptable to handling changing workloads
• Demonstrates commitment towards learning new skills
• Demonstrates ability to function as a team member
• Good attendance record
• Physical ability to perform tasks associated with the job
