Job Overview

We are recruiting Journeyperson/Apprentice Pipefitters to join our team for projects near the Fort McMurray, Alberta area. The Journeyperson Pipefitters will install, maintain, and repair piping systems in a safe and efficient manner, contributing to the success of construction projects. They play a critical role in ensuring that these systems operate effectively and reliably.

Responsibilities

  • Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.
  • Measure, cut, thread, bend, assemble and install metal tubing, pipes, pipe sections, valves, and fittings.
  • Hydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding designed supports as required.
  • Maintain all tools, work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Read and interpret client and company-supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications.
  • Follow safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role with structural experience is required
  • Must be a Certified Pipefitter Journeyperson or registered apprentice
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices
  • Must be fit-for-duty.
  • Must be immediately eligible/able to work in Canada.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test including cannabis.
