Purchasing Coordinator

This is a full-time, in-office position. The successful candidate will be required to work on-site at our Markham office, Monday through Friday.
We are seeking a highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to join our Purchasing team. This role will work directly with suppliers to ensure our company has products needed in stock by executing on our internal purchasing processes, practices and standards effectively and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure supplier invoices are processed correctly and on time.
- Create purchase orders for products, track shipments, update purchasing ETA and PO notes in our ERP system, Acumatica.
- Monitor stock levels and order additional products as needed.
- Confirm destination charge invoices and shipments with purchasing/inventory manager.
- Collaborate with the purchasing team on incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Issue and coordinate delivery schedules for incoming shipments with receiving department, inventory and quality assurance.
- Coordinate with inventory and warehouse and finalize pick-up and coordinate shipping documents.
- Generate inventory levels and out-of-stock data reports to help the purchasing/inventory manager make decisions.
- Analyze inventory discrepancies and support the team to reconcile.
You are our ideal candidate if you have:
- Diploma or certification in supply chain management or procurement or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- Some experience in procurement or supplier management activities in a manufacturing or consumer goods environment.
- Demonstrated experience using the inventory management module of an ERP system (Acumatica a definite plus!)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and intermediate to advanced data organization, mining and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organization skills with proven ability to meet required timelines.
- Strong multi-tasking ability with a willingness to shift priorities to support business objectives.
- Self-motivated, with a strong desire to execute and achieve results.
- Positive attitude, proactiveness, and willingness to help the team meet its objectives.
