About The Position
We are looking for someone with experience and a keen interest in video production.
As a student in this role, you’ll work with our team of videographers gaining hands-on experience in producing videos for real projects.
This opportunity will deepen your understanding of the entire video production process—from concept and storytelling to editing and final delivery—while working within a professional environment.
You’ll develop practical skills in creating impactful videos that effectively communicate messages in today’s digital world, preparing you for a career in video production and media.

You’ll be shooting, editing and developing engaging video content to support the Bank of Canada’s communications campaigns, both internally and externally.

What You Need To Know
The Bank offers work arrangements that provide employees with flexibility, enable high-performing teams, and support an excellent workplace culture. Most employees can telework from home for a portion of each month as part of the Bank’s hybrid work model, and they are expected on site at the Bank location a minimum of 12 days per month to help build connections between colleagues. You must live in Canada, and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.
For this position, days in office may be dictated by the work schedule.

You Must Be
- able to work full-time during regular business hours
- available to be onsite when video shots occur
To qualify, you must be:
- currently enrolled as student in a degree in television broadcasting, interactive multimedia, digital media or a related field at a college or university (undergraduate level)
- returning to school in the next academic term
- Understanding of video and photography tools and techniques
- Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite, in particular Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator
- Great communication skills: frequent and clear communication is a must
- Self-driven work ethic: you need to be a self-starter who loves taking initiative and seeing things through to completion
