We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Facilitator/Coordinator to join our CEPCP team. In this position you will have the opportunity to use your extensive knowledge and expertise to help us develop, implement and maintain an innovative and strategic approach to our Paramedic Programs and our Community Programs that will meet the current and future needs of our Host Hospital , Lakeridge Health, as well as our growing number of stakeholders including 6 paramedics services, 17 fire departments, numerous PAD sites and more. This position will play a key role in providing high quality support to achieve our vision and the objectives of Lakeridge Health's strategic direction. Duties And Responsibilities

The Central East Prehospital Care Program (CEPCP) provides medical oversight and delegation, the development and delivery of continuing education and Quality Assurance/Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives across all of our stakeholders. Our programs range from CPR and Standard First aid training, up to PCP, PCP IV and ACP education and certification and research.

Reporting to the Clinical Manager, the Facilitator/Coordinator is an expert in the field of prehospital care with clinical, QA/CQI, and adult education experience. The Facilitator/Coordinator is self-motivated to excel and grow within their position.

The Facilitator/Coordinator is responsible for developing and facilitating the delivery of education (via distance and face to face) using a variety of technologies, to our stakeholders; including process improvement initiatives; coaching internal customers assisting with program delivery of applicable compliance activities and strategies to enhance the training experience, certification and maintenance of skill levels of providers; involved in the hiring process of instructional staff; and regular program liaison with stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

Paramedic trained and qualified (PCP, PCPAIV or ACP);

Ambulance and Emergency Care Diploma

Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of adult education and teaching/learning skills;

Demonstrated ability to instruct, develop, and deliver training in all areas of operations;

Proven ability to work independently and as a strong team member with excellent interpersonal and communication skills within a client focused environment;

Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, Word, Excel and PowerPoint;

Must have a satisfactory performance record;

Proven good attendance record with capabilities of maintaining this same standard;

Demonstrated understanding of PHIPA and confidentiality;

Demonstrated knowledge of current legislation related to the delivery of prehospital care;

Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff safety, patient and environmental safety and participation in regular in-service education in this area;
