H 2 O Innovation is a leading company in water and wastewater treatment, specializing in water technologies, services, specialty products, and contract operations.

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer tohold a permanent and full-time position at the Ramsey, MN. In addition to daily challenges, opportunities to work on a variety of projects and the chance to work with the best, the Project Engineer will be in charge of developing and designing water treatment systems.

T he Day-to-Day

  • Development of equipment skid layouts to optimize footprint, fluid dynamics and ease of operations with the assistance of the drafting team;
  • Collaborate closely with project managers and clients to incorporate best design practises;
  • Oversee preparation of 3D drawings for complete water treatment systems;
  • Ensure that equipment selection is compliant with the project’s mechanical specifications and the standards to be met (ASME, UL, API, etc.);
  • Approve drawings before their submittal to the client or the manufacturing department;
  • Work with the manufacturing department to integrate suggested improvements to shop drawings;
  • Develop hydraulic calculations and select equipment, material of construction, type, etc…for pumps, valves, blowers, analytical instruments;
  • Prepare lists of equipment, instruments and valves;
  • Create process drawings such as P&IDs and PFDs;
  • Fill out specification sheets for selected equipment, based on information provided by suppliers;
  • Prepare engineering documents such as functional descriptions, operating manuals, quality inspection programs, etc.

The Skills We Are Looking For

  • A Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical preferred);
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant role;
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Very good written and oral communication skills;
  • Water & Wastewater treatment technologies knowledge is an asset.
