What This Role Is All About

At Chard, we believe efficiency and clarity power great outcomes. The Operational Excellence Manager is at the heart of that mission; designing, implementing, and continuously improving the processes that keep our teams aligned and our projects moving. This role partners across Development, Construction, Property Management, Asset Management, Leasing, Finance, and Legal to create consistency, compliance, and momentum. You’ll be the champion of operational standards, ensuring our people have the tools, systems, and structure they need to succeed.


What You’ll Be Doing


Define Core Processes & Standards

·      Develop and maintain a clear, company-wide process framework and documentation standards.

·      Set and update operational standards in line with company goals and industry best practices.

·      Benchmark and apply AI-driven solutions to create, manage, and improve SOPs.


Analyze & Improve Business Processes

·      Map and analyze existing workflows to uncover inefficiencies and opportunities.

·      Collaborate with teams to define KPIs and dashboards that track effectiveness.

·      Conduct cost-benefit analyses and model outcomes for proposed changes.

·      Regularly review processes with stakeholders to keep pace with business needs, technology, and market trends.


Champion Continuous Improvement & Collaboration

·      Facilitate adoption of new processes through change management and training.

·      Drive efficiencies across both head office and site-based operations.

·      Partner with leaders to ensure processes align with strategic objectives.

·      Work with People & Culture to embed and maintain procedures in the LMS.


Lead Documentation & Communication

·      Develop and manage a comprehensive internal procedures library.

·      Deliver training sessions for new hires and updates for existing staff.

·      Create templates to ensure consistency across teams.

·      Support adoption of new technology through training and change management.


Ensure Compliance & Quality Assurance

·      Align processes with internal standards and regulatory requirements.

·      Support audits and risk assessments tied to procedural adherence.

·      Track changes, maintain version control, and ensure documentation is always current.


What You’ll Bring

·      Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Operations Management, or related field is an asset, but not required

·      3+ years of experience in process improvement, operations coordination, or administration, ideally within real estate or property management.

·      Understanding of development and property management workflows.

·      Proficiency with documentation and workflow platforms (e.g., Microsoft Office, Notion, Confluence, SharePoint).

·      Proven ability to train, mentor, and influence cross-functional teams.

·      Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies (an asset).

The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $120,000 based on candidate experience.
