As a Brokerage Intern at Cushman & Wakefield, you will gain hands-on experience working alongside some of the most talented professionals in commercial real estate. This internship offers exposure to brokerage operations, marketing, research, and client service. You will assist fee-earners (brokers and sales professionals) with day-to-day business needs, pitches, proposals, and transaction support, while developing professional skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing databases and CRM systems by entering new leads, updating opportunities, and maintaining client contact lists.
  • Support the content creation process and coordinate deliverables to ensure timely production of proposals, marketing materials, and presentations.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Research, and Financial Analyst teams to prepare client deliverables.
  • Provide administrative support such as scheduling meetings, booking travel, preparing expense reports, and organizing deal documents.
  • Gain exposure to transaction workflows by assisting in the organization of leases, contracts, listings, confidentiality agreements, and closing documents.

Key Learning Opportunities

Pitch & Proposal Support

  • Participate in the coordination and production of pitch materials and proposals.
  • Assist in creating property flyers, brochures, tour books, marketing e-blasts, event invitations, and presentations.
  • Learn how to prepare and customize market documents and marketing collateral to support business development.

Research & Transaction Support

  • Support the preparation of landlord leasing activity reports and client deliverables.
  • Assist with data collection, lease abstractions, and drafting of proposals under the supervision of real estate professionals.
  • Gain an understanding of brokerage transaction processes and reporting requirements.

Client & Team Support

  • Shadow brokers and fee-earners to understand the client engagement process.
  • Assist with planning and coordinating client meetings, events, and property tours.
  • Provide deal-related documentation and logistical support to ensure seamless client service.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Economics, Marketing, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in commercial real estate and brokerage services in Canada.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with databases, CRM, or financial modeling is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; professional presence when working with clients.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Preference for students entering their 3rd or 4th year, but all years will be considered with relevant coursework or experience.
