Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Safety & HR Generalist/Manager, leads site safety initiatives and HR operations. You'll drive a culture of safety with the goal of zero recordables and lost time injuries, ensuring compliance and building effective safety systems. On the HR side, you'll manage recruitment, onboarding, training, policy administration, and employee engagement, supporting a high-performing, people-first workplace.

What You’ll Do
Safety Responsibilities

- Implement and maintain safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct audits, lead hazard assessments, and facilitate safety committee meetings.
- Investigate incidents, manage injury reporting, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Deliver tailored safety training and support frontline teams with EHS expertise.
HR Responsibilities
-
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and employee training programs.
- Support performance management, benefits administration, and leave tracking.
- Lead employee engagement and recognition initiatives.
- Maintain HRIS data integrity and prepare reports for leadership.

Qualifications
- HS diploma or equivalent with equivalent working experience.
- 3+ years of combined experience in safety and HR within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Knowledge of BC employment standards, labor laws, and WorkSafe BC regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
What Makes You Stand Out
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in HR, business, occupational health & safety, or related field
- Experience conducting safety audits and supporting incident investigations.
- Demonstrated success in employee relations and engagement initiatives.
- Ability to deliver impactful training and lead cross-functional safety efforts.
- Comfortable navigating both office and plant environments with appropriate PPE.
