Grinder Manipulator
Hourly rate: $34.68 – Fully Qualified (starts at Learner 1: $29.48/hr.; Learner 2: $31.21/hr.; Learner 3: $32.95) Progression based on merit not hours.

Position Overview
We have an opportunity for you to join our production team as a Grinder Manipulator at our Cambridge, Ontario facility. Each member of our team plays a critical role in BWXT Canada’s success and in ensuring we meet our customers’ quality, cost and delivery expectations. Our employees are considered the best in the industry, and we are proud of the high level of skills they demonstrate every day. Our Grinder Manipulators perform laboring duties, handling materials and other functions that may be physically demanding in nature.

Location:
On-site in Cambridge, Ontario
Your Day To Day As a Grinder Manipulator
- Perform grinding operations using various equipment (i.e. handheld grinders, polishers).
- Perform basic tube/pipe preparation.
- Assist other skilled trades as required (i.e. Welders and Fitters).
- Cleaning and sorting of product parts.
- Work in a safe manner. Demonstrate good workmanship and practices.
- Work in accordance with established work orders and procedures.
- Complete records and documentation as required.
- Proven commitment to workplace safety.
- Commitment to quality and the ability to work as a positive, effective team member,
- Physical agility aimed at performing manual labour.
- Previous work experience in a heavy manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Must be available to work any of the following shifts:
- Days: 6:00 am to 4:00 pm. (Mon – Thurs) OR.
- Afternoons: 4:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. (Mon – Thurs) OR.
- Weekend days: 6:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Fri, Sat, Sun; paid for 40 hours) OR
- Weekend afternoons: 5:00 p.m. – 4:00 a.m. (Fri, Sat, Sun; paid for 40
