Your future role on our team
You’ll have the opportunity to work within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team and provide technical support to the geologists and geological engineers on the Mineral Resources team. You’ll also work closely with other team members to validate databases, interpret geological data, validate and create block models, produce maps and complete any other tasks necessary to achieve the team’s objectives.

- Integrate and validate quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) results and establish and ensure geological database validation
- Under supervision, participate in 3D geological modelling, perform statistical and geostatistical analyses, estimate mineral resources, create block models (Leapfrog Geo, Edge or Datamine) and conduct internal and external resource and reserve audits
- Help prepare technical reports in compliance with Regulation 43‑101, JORC (2012) or S-K 1300, including map and image creation
- Work closely with the engineering team during economic studies to ensure an accurate understanding of the deposit and application of mining methods suited to the deposit’s nature and geometry

- Diploma of college studies (DEC) in mineral technology, geology option
- From 1 to 10 years of relevant experience
- Excellent ability to learn new software
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office Suite
- Advanced level of English to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally. The frequency of English use may range from occasional to daily, depending on ongoing projects
- Advanced level of French to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients in Québec
- Asset: relevant field experience
- Asset: experience with database management, QA/QC protocols, geostatistical analyses and 2D and 3D modelling
- Asset: proficiency in specialized geological and mining modelling software such as Leapfrog or Datamine and in GPS
