We’re seeking a SHIPPING CLERK to join our team in Port Alberni.
How You’ll Contribute
- Manage all shipping and receiving activities for inbound and outbound materials.
- Conduct quality checks and audits to ensure outgoing shipments meet company standards.
- Track shipments, verify receipts, and maintain accurate records of deliveries.
- Develop and maintain a daily shipment schedule to optimize material flow.
- Review and approve freight charges and invoices, escalating discrepancies as needed.
- Communicate with vendors, carriers, and internal teams to confirm shipping details and resolve issues.
- 2+ years of logistics or supply chain experience.
- Experience in aviation or manufacturing (an asset).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to quickly learn new logistics and shipment management systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to perform repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs. and follow safe handling practices.
- A team-oriented mindset and commitment to company values and ethics.
- $18-$22 an hour, depending on experience.
