Strategy & Operational Model
- Stand up the Transport COE: governance, policy, tiering, SLAs, pricing guardrails, exception management, and KPI cadence across all business lines.
- Build regional operating plans (US & Canada) for surge markets; own the enterprise coverage map (shops, storage, lanes) and contingency routing.
- Serve as business owner for Element’s TMS: roadmap, requirements, prioritization, and release management; own the MVP → Scale trajectory.
- Deliver integrations: Maintenance & Collision (timestamps/status), priority transporters, internal systems (ordering, remarketing, maintenance, collision).
- Stand up status/ETA fabric (event model, milestone timestamps, digital proof, images) and dashboards (cycle time, success rate, exceptions, revenue yield).
- Drive automation: rules/policy-as-code, smart vendor selection, auto-create orders from upstream systems, and API-first partner model.
- Ensure platform security, data privacy, and auditability.
- Design and run a tiered supplier program (preferred, regional, specialty); negotiate economics, rebates/commissions, SLAs, and data obligations.
- Institute scorecards (coverage, cycle time, acceptance, damage, client feedback), QBRs, and corrective action plans.
- Eliminate conflicting third-party models; enforce network standards and branding.
- Centralize dispatch & scheduling with standard work; launch an interim manual scheduling pod to create “base hits” while APIs come online.
- Embed boots-on-the-ground escalation (with FPS/field teams) in tough markets; clear backlogs with “surge cells.”
- Implement Lean/Kaizen, capacity planning, and workforce management to drive throughput without adding headcount.
- Align leaders across Maintenance, Collision, Remarketing, T&R, FPS on roles, RACI, and adoption.
- Run structured change: communications, training, playbooks, and success metrics; champion client-first outcomes.
- Serve as executive voice on transport with key accounts; support solution design in pursuits and renewals.
- Lead a large department across US/CA/MX; build scalable org structures and succession
- Build organizational structures that scale effectively while aligning with strategic priorities.
- Foster a culture of accountability, inclusivity, safety, and customer centricity.
- Attract, develop, and retain top talent, while promoting DEI and ESG values.
- Provide leadership continuity, succession planning, and workforce strategies aligned with long-term business needs.
- 12–15+ years leading large, multi-region operations and technology-led programs (PMO/consulting/IT product delivery).
- Direct ownership of a $150M+ spend category or equivalent programs.
- Proven delivery of a complex platform rollout (e.g., TMS/Dispatch/MRO) with API integrations and measurable OPEX/throughput gains.
- People leadership: built and led teams of 20–50+, including managers; performance culture and change management.
- Vendor management & commercial acumen: network design, negotiation, SLAs, and QBRs.
- Data & analytics fluency: cycle-time measurement, funnel analytics, dashboards, and actioned insights.
- PMP (or PM experience) and deep Agile/SAFe program experience; Lean/Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or STEM master’s preferred.
- Experience in Fleet management, auto services, or last-mile logistics
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred
