In addition, Lincoln Electric is committed to the development of new and innovative technologies with value added products and services that respond to customer needs Business Unit The Automated Solutions Group is responsible for providing engineered solutions, integrated systems, automation programming and technical support to Lincoln Electric’s ongoing sales efforts specifically focused upon fume extraction, flexible and hard automation products and services ASG is further responsible for the provision of technical support to direct end-user customers for service / maintenance contracts and warranty related solutions, as well as, troubleshooting and problem solving with respect to customer issues The Automated Solutions Group is expected to deliver results while contributing to Lincoln Electric’s ongoing business activities and priorities, as well as, meeting internal and external customer requirements in a timely, discreet and ethical manner Major Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the control’s engineers and electrical engineers, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of the engineering team to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Lead and implement electrical standardization and best practices to deliver robust and user-friendly electrical systems.
  • Manage resource allocation, scheduling, and workload distribution for the engineering team.
  • Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for electrical processes and systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members on complex electrical issues.
  • Responsible for conducting employee performance appraisals, providing feedback, and supporting career development plans.
  • Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and training of engineering staff.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of electrical systems, procedures, and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems in projects.
  • Report directly to the Engineering Manager on an ongoing basis and communicate all relevant matters pertaining to the on-time delivery of all projects and the service department installations in a timely manner.
  • Support the Quotation Team by providing technical input and assisting in the preparation of accurate cost estimates for electrical and controls-related aspects of projects.
  • Be prepared to personally contribute to project execution when circumstances require, including hands-on involvement in design, troubleshooting, or implementation.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and implementing feedback from internal and external customers to improve system performance and customer satisfaction.
Major Responsibilities
  • To participate co-operatively as an employee within the company Performance Appraisal Process and Merit Rating System.
  • To actively participate in company, staff or individual one-on-one meetings on an ongoing basis for the purposes of effective teamwork, enhanced communication and progressive co-operation strategies within the department, as well as other departments across the company.
  • To continually contribute to the profitability of the company and ongoing business operations by initiating, recommending and implementing continuous improvement strategies and initiatives.
  • To fully abide, lead where applicable and actively support Lincoln Electric’s Environmental Health & Safety policies, practices and procedures, and all applicable legal and other standards with respect to protecting the environment, the conservation of nature resources and the Health & Safety of all employees.
  • To conduct any general duties, specific projects and responsibilities as assigned or required by the Production Engineering Manager in a timely and professional manner.
Position Requirements Minimum Education Requirement:
  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5 years of experience minimum in electrical design, including hands-on involvement in industrial or manufacturing environments and Minimum 1-2 years of leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuit design, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in using electrical diagnostic tools (e.g., Digital Voltmeter, Oscilloscope).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Previous experience supervising controls engineers and electrical engineers.
  • Familiarity with electrical safety standards and regulations (e.g., NFPA, ANSI, ISO).
  • Ability to work flexible hours and occasional travel as required.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen Bradley preferred) and FANUC robotics integration.
  • Experience with PCB design and development.
  • Experience in cost estimation and supporting quotation processes for electrical projects is an asset.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to US affiliates and customers 5-10% of the time
