We are hiring a Food & Beverage Supervisor (Temporary Maternity Leave)!
As a Hotel Food & Beverage Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional guest experiences through the seamless operation of the hotel's dining outlets & event space. You will oversee daily F&B activities, ensuring high standards of service, hygiene, and efficiency across restaurants, bars, Call & Collect service, and banquet operations. Your leadership will inspire and guide the F&B team to consistently exceed guest expectations while maintaining profitability and compliance with brand standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide active supervision and leadership to the service team, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Conduct daily shift briefings and participate in operational meetings to align service goals and staffing needs.
- Lead and execute restaurant, banquet, and catering functions with precision and professionalism.
- Deliver personalized service to Hilton Honors members and guests, acknowledging them by name whenever possible.
- Ensure restaurant, bar and meeting space are consistently set up and maintained according to hotel standards.
- Oversee training and development of associates in alignment with hotel's service protocols.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative work environment.
- Maintain effective cross-departmental relationships to support seamless hotel operations.
- Monitor and uphold superior cleanliness and presentation in the restaurant, lounge, and meeting spaces.
- Manage the daily pass-over report process to ensure continuity and communication across shifts.
- Address guest and team concerns promptly, professionally, and efficiently.
- Enforce health and safety regulations in all departmental activities, ensuring full compliance.
- Maintain open verbal and written communication between management and associates.
- Provide coaching, performance feedback, and disciplinary action when necessary.
- Ensure associates have access to the tools and equipment needed to perform their roles effectively.
- Take immediate action to resolve operational issues as they arise.
- Participate in BEO (Banquet Event Order) meetings and communicate relevant details to the team and stakeholders.
- Ensure all food is of high quality, properly prepared, and efficiently delivered to all outlets.
- Support all areas of food service and assist in other hotel departments as needed.
Requirements
- 2 years of supervisory experience in a high-end establishment.
- Strong banquet and catering experience
- Exceptional knowledge and passion of food & beverage.
- Have an out-going personality, a polished image and exceptional communication skills; emphasis on professional, seamless guest service
- Strong discernment with a high degree of confidentiality
- Strong communication skills; supporting and encouraging a team-focused work environment
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekdays, nights and weekends
- Smart Serve Certification is required
- Experience using a client information database and POS system (Micros experience is a preferred asset)
- Able to lift, push and pull, and carry up to 50 lbs
- Able to stand for long periods of time
