Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:
As the Product Development Assistant (PDA), you support the Product Creation Development Team in their efforts to develop a consistent level of quality, promoting Arc’teryx as a brand that consistently exceeds customer expectations
There are two contracts with durations between 6 and 12 months. The roles are based out of our North Vancouver office and is expected to be performed on location. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada

We are a small, high performing team that works closely with all aspects of product creation. The work we do behind the scenes supports Designers and Product Developers to accomplish go-to-market deliverables. You will be part of a focused team of Product Developers, Designers, Design Developers, Pattern Makers, and a Cut & Sew team that works on creating innovative product. Our team builds strong relationships with cross-functional partners to realize ideas into commercialized successes

If you were the Product Development Assistant now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

- Supporting the Product Creation Development Team with all aspects of product development, including (but not limited to) data entry, compiling spec packages, coordinating raw materials for sampling, product testing and washing, for concept and proto samples
- Organizing approved raw material inventory within the design centre, and supporting the material needs for the design maker phase
- Contributing to the design maker phase alongside your product creation partners
- Supporting throughout the sample process, from concepting through to fit approved stage
- Ensuring the timely delivery of all PDA responsibilities against product creation calendars
- Preparing commercial invoices, tracking packages to factories and providing product details to support logistic requirements, from concept through to fit approved stage
- Organizing and maintaining team sample racks
- Organizing all sampling inventory and archiving
- Ordering approved raw materials, stock transfers and supplies for the Design and Development teams as required
- Upholding Fair Labor Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing throughout the Arc’teryx supply chain
Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:

- Creating strong cross-functional relationships with Raw Materials, Design, and Cut & Sew teams, amongst others
- Collaborating to create efficient processes in fabric material inventories, sample tracking, and shipping
- Supporting Product Developers in managing models
Are you our next Product Development Assistant?

- You have a post-secondary education in apparel or textile design, technology, merchandising, or the equivalent experience
- You have a knowledge of garment construction
- You are proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
- You have a strong attention to detail and accuracy
- You have strong interpersonal and communication skills
- You demonstrate intercultural fluency and can collaborate with diverse teams
- You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
- You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
- You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
