Printer Operator – Large Format Digital Printing

Markham, ON | 4:00 p.m. – 2:30 a.m. | 4 Days On / 4 Days Off | 40-Hour Weeks

We’re looking for an experienced Printer Operator to join our production team. This role involves running two Canon Colorado M5W large format printers on a 10.5-hour night shift (including a 30-minute lunch break). You’ll work a 4 days on / 4 days off rotation, averaging 40 hours per week.

• Operate and maintain Canon Colorado M5W printers during assigned shifts

• Review and interpret job dockets to ensure accuracy of materials, sizing, and finishing requirements

• Monitor print quality and perform color/registration checks

• Load, unload, and handle large rolls of media (up to 70 lbs) safely and efficiently

• Maintain organized work areas, track output, and complete production logs

• Troubleshoot basic printer issues and perform routine cleaning/maintenance

• Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and quality standards

• Minimum 2 years’ experience operating large-format digital printers (UV or latex preferred)

• Strong understanding of print materials (vinyls, papers, films) and RIP software

• Ability to lift heavy rolls (up to 70 lbs) and work on your feet for extended periods

• High attention to detail, organization, and commitment to producing quality work

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple jobs simultaneously

• Experience with finishing equipment (laminators, cutters, seamers)

• Knowledge of ICC profiles, color management, and workflow software

• Forklift certification or material handling experience
