Senior Engineer - Java/AWS

Job Title: Senior Engineer - Java - Total Fund Management 
Location: Toronto, ON 
Type: Contract (6 Months), Mon-Thur Onsite 4 days
Job Description: 
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java and AWS to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in software development and architecture, with a keen ability to design and analyze complex systems. A background in capital markets and proficiency in Python are considered advantageous. 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Develop Java-based applications using AWS services.


• Deploy infrastructure using Terraform.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on solutioning and implementation.


• Conduct code reviews and promote engineering best practices.


• Stay current with tech trends and contribute to continuous improvement.

Must Have:

• Strong, hands-on experience with Java(Spring Boot, Core Java, Microservices) - Java skill level 8/10


• AWS expertise (must be very hands-on)- ~30% AWS environment


• Must know how to deploy Terraform apps


• Must have experience with EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service)


• Software design and system analysis experience


• Solid understanding of multithreading concepts


• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
