The impact you will have:

The Manager, Modern Infrastructure Sales will lead a team of 15 Specialty Sales Executives, with the mandate of driving our Modern Infrastructure growth in our highest growth and strategic accounts.

You will bring deep experience in business outcome-based selling, clients’ strategic imperatives, aligned to their compelling events, and creating highly effective sales systems to unlock the potential of their teams. To make this happen, you will leverage Softchoice’s expertise in Cisco, Data Center, Public Cloud, Networking, Security, Professional Services, and Managed Services.

You will collaborate with Softchoice District Sales Leaders, Account Executives, and our Partners to positively impact our business across North America. You will drive deal-based coaching and mentorship to your team. Your leadership will help our customers succeed and thrive into the future.


Who you will be working with:

  • You will work with our most strategic customers looking to modernize their infrastructure in datacenter and or public cloud, connected, secured and managed with Cisco software and hardware technologies.

  • You and your team will be directly supported by Solution Architects and technical architects, bringing technical acumen early in the sales cycle to ensure our customers find fast value in their discussions with you.

  • You will collaborate with account executives and sales leadership in partnership to ensure we grow our Modern Infrastructure business together.


What you will do:

Team Leadership and Mentorship

Hire, lead, and mentor a team of Specialty Sales Executives across North America.

  • Hiring: Identify and recruit top talent to build a high-performing sales team.

  • Leadership: Provide direction, set goals, and ensure alignment with company objectives.

  • Mentorship: Offer guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to team members.


Business Growth

Drive growth in Modern Infrastructure and Cisco business.

  • Growth Strategies: Develop and implement strategies to increase market share and revenue.

  • Performance Metrics: Monitor and analyze sales performance to identify areas for improvement.

  • Partnerships: Leverage relationships with Cisco and other partners to drive business growth.


Market Strategy Collaboration

Collaborate with District Leadership to identify market strategies.

  • Strategic Planning: Work with district leaders to develop and refine market strategies.

  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.

  • Implementation: Ensure effective execution of market strategies across the district.


Sales Models and Coaching

Champion solution-led sales models and deal-based coaching.

  • Sales Models: Promote and implement solution-based sales approaches.

  • Coaching: Provide deal-based coaching to sales executives to improve their effectiveness.

  • Best Practices: Share and implement best practices in sales techniques and methodologies.


Strategic Relationships

Build strategic relationships with business partners.

  • Partnership Development: Identify and cultivate relationships with key business partners.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with partners to develop joint business opportunities.

  • Relationship Management: Maintain and strengthen existing partnerships to ensure long-term success.


Go-to-Market Strategy

Articulate our go-to-market strategy, ensuring your team can be held accountable to the performance of the modern infrastructure business.

  • Strategy Communication: Clearly communicate the go-to-market strategy to the sales team.

  • Accountability: Set performance expectations and hold the team accountable for achieving business goals.

  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on the performance of the modern infrastructure business.


Best Practices and Systems

Drive adoption of best practices and selling systems.

  • Best Practices: Identify, share, and implement best practices in sales processes and techniques.

  • Selling Systems: Promote the use of effective selling systems and tools to enhance sales performance.

  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve sales practices and systems.


Thought Leadership and Direction

Provide thought leadership and driving organizational direction.

  • Thought Leadership: Share insights and expertise to influence industry trends and best practices.

  • Organizational Direction: Provide strategic direction to guide the organization towards its goals.

  • Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the sales team.


What you bring to the table:

  • Track record of having significant impact on customers and a history of increasing responsibilities.

  • An insatiable curiosity and drive to learn about your customers, your industry and your team.

  • Exceptional communications skills, written and verbal, enabling you to teach the customer, tailor insights and take control of the sale

  • An independent spirit and an entrepreneurial drive.

  • 5+ years in sales people management within the technology industry, preferably in B2B. OEM and channel sales experience a benefit.

  • Strong Commercial and Mid-Market experience, selling a breadth of services and solutions.

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent, preferred.
