Contract type: Full time

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The successful applicant will be part of the wider prosthetic MDT working to deliver assessment and rehabilitation to patients, following upper and lower limb amputation. This is an outpatient service and home visits are carried out as required. Close liaison with both acute and primary services is essential to streamline the patient’s journey.
We require a suitably qualified physiotherapist with at least 3 years’ experience working in this area of prosthetic rehabilitation. The successful candidate will work with a varied caseload of patients from various services, including vascular, major trauma, orthopedic, plastics and burns and oncology. They will also work within the Specialist Prosthetic service as part of the National MDT, providing rehabilitation for patients with specialist componentry (microprocessor knees and multi articulating foot and ankles). Participation in ongoing research projects is also expected.
WestMARC provides PAL student placements, the successful applicant would work as part of the team providing Clinical Supervision to these students.
This post requires PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland check.
