- Pay Rate: C$30 - C$35/hour
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (OT possible if needed)
The Technical Analyst will join a core project team supporting the rollout of a new system for the client’s business banking division. Working in a small team (7 members), the analyst will perform data collection, preparation, and validation, run Python/PySpark notebooks in Azure Databricks, and support interactive reporting in Excel. This role requires strong attention to detail, operational discipline, and the ability to communicate results to stakeholders clearly.Key Responsibilities
- Collect and validate specified data inputs; populate data templates and ensure completeness
- Prepare model inputs, execute Python/PySpark notebooks in Azure Databricks, and extract outputs
- Populate interactive Excel templates and perform quality checks on outputs
- Communicate progress and findings to stakeholders; escalate issues as necessary
- Follow checklists, procedures, and timelines with operational discipline
- Maintain logs and documentation; recommend process improvements
- College diploma or undergraduate degree
- 1-2 years professional experience
- Basic Python programming: modify scripts, manage data frames, handle I/O
- Intermediate/advanced Excel: structured templates, strict formatting compliance
- Quality mindset: attention to anomalies (missing data, outliers)
- Strong operational discipline: checklist adherence, timely updates
- Familiarity with Azure Databricks
- Basic PySpark and SQL experience (filtering, joins, aggregations)
- Git/GitHub or Bitbucket basics
- VBA scripting
- Familiarity with banking/credit products or credit review processes
- Functional proficiency in French
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to explain data outputs in plain language (after training)
- Problem-solving skills with clear escalation judgment
- Detail orientation and stakeholder communication
