What You Will Do
As Analyst, Fund Reporting, you’ll be a key player in making sure our fund reporting and financial statements are accurate, insightful and compliant. You’ll work with internal teams and external partners to deliver financial statements, performance reports and tax filings
Your Day-to-Day
- Fund Financial Statements: Review and prepare fund financial statements with our Fund Administrators and auditors, while supporting our Senior Analysts in deeper financial reviews and development.
- Fund Analysis: Assess market risks and foreign tax exposures for disclosures and insights.
- Fund Reporting: Prepare and file Management Reports of Fund Performance (MRFPs) and coordinate with operations and investment teams.
- Tax and Compliance: Calculate tax attribution rates, prepare returns and stay current with regulatory changes.
- Process Improvement: Help us work smarter by streamlining workflows and exploring automation opportunities.
- CPA designation or active enrollment in the CPA program
- 3-5 years of experience in fund reporting or fund accounting for financial services
- Working knowledge of:
- IFRS & US GAAP for investment funds
- Canadian trust tax rules
- National Instrument 81-106
- CRA HST/GST/QST for financial institutions
- US partnership tax returns
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- A proactive mindset – you take ownership and look for ways to improve
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
