ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN – St. Basil Catholic Education Centre

We are looking to hire a continuous 35.0 hr per week Accounting Technician at St. Basil Catholic Education Centre in Lethbridge. This assignment is to commence as soon as possible. This is an out of scope position reporting to the Finance Manager. Due to the division Christmas, Easter and summer breaks, this position is a 0.85 FTE.
Holy Spirit Catholic School Division serves the communities of Lethbridge, Taber, Bow Island, Coaldale, Picture Butte and Pincher Creek. There are 16 schools in the division (elementary, junior high, and high school). The school division has approximately 675 employees. An individual assigned to this position is responsible for:
- Accounting for Alberta Education grants;
- Accounting for donations;
- Accounting for miscellaneous accounts receivable;
- Management of accounts receivable;
- Monthly reconciliation of School Cash Online deposits;
- Weekly preparation of bank deposits;
- Quarterly accounting for municipal requisitions;
- Weekly review and reconciliation of school option fees and budget adjustments;
- Monthly bank reconciliation;
- Other duties assigned.
