The Role: Spirits Manager
We’re looking for a service-first, spirits-savvy leader to manage the spirits department at our Signal Hill location in Calgary. As Spirits Manager, you’ll oversee department operations, engage customers, lead tastings, and help deliver a top-tier shopping experience focused on premium spirits, local favorites, and exclusive brands.

The Role: Spirits Manager
We’re looking for a service-first, spirits-savvy leader to manage the spirits department at our Signal Hill location in Calgary. As Spirits Manager, you’ll oversee department operations, engage customers, lead tastings, and help deliver a top-tier shopping experience focused on premium spirits, local favorites, and exclusive brands.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and support a high-performing department team
- Deliver expert customer service and make personalized spirit recommendations
- Plan and host in-store tasting events
- Manage department inventory, ordering, and merchandising
- Monitor team scheduling and sales performance
- Keep the department organized, clean, and ready for business
- Stay current on industry trends and product knowledge
- Ensure compliance with Alberta liquor and workplace safety regulations
- 2+ years of retail or liquor industry experience
- Supervisory or leadership experience (preferred)
- ProServe certification (or ability to obtain)
- Strong product knowledge in spirits (WSET 2 or similar is a plus)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
