Those in application security at PwC will be responsible for providing security services to development teams including code scanning, readiness testing, and penetration testing to enable application teams to build and deploy secure applications in Production. You will utilise a risk-based methodology and "shift-left" approach to engage early in the software development lifecycle. Meaningful work you’ll be part of
As an Acceleration Centre, Salesforce Specialist, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Working in a team environment with people from multiple backgrounds and skill sets.
- Working directly with various stakeholders including end-users with collecting requirements/feedback directly from stakeholders and integrating that into the system.
- Ability to maintain and enhance the data model, user interface, business logic, and security for custom applications.
- Support enhancement and deployment of custom functionalities using various salesforce tools such as Salesforce Apex and Visualforce, all on a bespoke force.com platform.
- Estimating level of effort for activities and conducting post-implementation support activities (e.g, scope and impact management).
- Ability to maintain and enhance dashboards, user interface, business logic, and security for custom applications and support development activities, working closely under the supervision of the team leads.
- Be a part of the Incident, Problem, Change and Release management processes as required.
- Additional responsibilities could be assigned such as working as a backup scrum master.
- As a requirement, Security Clearance is mandatory for all staff who will be engaged on these assignments. Also, demonstrate attention to detail with the ability to participate, communicate and apply knowledge to deliver quality results. Able to show independent/self-starter and take responsibility for the information processed for decisions and actions.
- Proven ability to think creatively and critically in a problem-solving environment; to quickly troubleshoot critical issues and come up with unique and innovative solutions and to use various debug tools to speed investigation. With self-motivation and a desire to take responsibility for personal growth and development.
- Experience with building, customizing and maintaining cloud applications and / or cloud platforms (Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud and mobile platforms, Android and Apple) is an asset.
- Experience with virtual team collaboration applications (ex. MS Teams, Google Meet, Mural, Asana, Jamboard etc.)
- Knowledge of ongoing integration and deployment support approaches and tools. Experience working with front end technologies (eg React, Backbone, etc) will be an asset.
- Salesforce Certification would be considered an asset such as Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder or Salesforce Certified Platform Developer. Knowledge in combining Salesforce with external, 3rd party systems will be an asset.
- The successful candidate requires fluency in English, in addition to French as they will be required to support or collaborate with English-speaking clients, colleagues and/or stakeholders during the course of their employment with PwC Canada.
