JA Northern Alberta Volunteer Mentor & In-School Presenter
WITH
external opportunities
JA Northern Alberta relies on volunteers to bring its curriculum-based youth programs to life in classrooms and community settings. Volunteers can serve as In-School Program Presenters, leading pre-designed lessons about financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and work readiness, or as Company Program Mentors, guiding high school students in the process of launching and running their own small businesses. Training and orientation are provided so that volunteers feel confident delivering content and mentoring. Because JA is mission-driven to empower youth, volunteers gain exposure to education, mentorship, and leadership experience. Many volunteers report growth in their own presentation and facilitation skills. Programs are delivered across northern Alberta, making flexible scheduling possible to accommodate school or work commitments.
