Job Purpose
The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and tracking the weekend sanitation activities across all facilities, including cleaning procedures, management of departmental tools and supplies, and coordination with external sanitation contractors to ensure compliance with hygiene standards.

Job Purpose
The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and tracking the weekend sanitation activities across all facilities, including cleaning procedures, management of departmental tools and supplies, and coordination with external sanitation contractors to ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
Duties And Responsibilities
The associate’s primary functions and responsibilities are as follows:
- Provide instructions and leadership to develop a high-performance team.
- Provide guidance to other departments in their efforts to meet the cleanliness standards in their areas.
- Perform required departmental sanitation inspections and ensure all deficiencies are corrected and documented.
- Regularly review and update the Master Sanitation Schedule with weekend cleaning tasks, and the time to complete each task. Communicate all updates to the Sanitation Manager.
- Support start-ups of production lines by ensuring all cleaning is completed within the prescribed timeframe. Escalating any delays immediately to department managers.
- Maintain a sound working relationship with other departments to ensure no interruption in business and ensure constant communication with all levels of management regarding sanitation issues.
- Maintain and ensure the safety of all employees through proper training and enforcement of all company policies, procedures and processes.
- Communicate any inventory replenishment needed to Sanitation Manager.
- Coach and provide sanitation team with tools and resources to assist team members on skill development and growth.
- Responsible for management and support of the deep clean team to achieve operational success.
- Monitor time and attendance and ensure compliance with Company Procedures.
- Perform other assigned duties.
- Follow Health and Safety rules and regulations.
- Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety, and Food Defense guidelines.
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
- College Diploma or 2-3 years of sanitation experience in food industry sanitation
- 1 year of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing or consumer product industry
- Additional training, degree and/or related experience desired
- Previous sanitation experience and physical ability to work in the production environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be flexible to work Overtime.
- Able to work in hot, cold and damp environments.
- Work indoors.
- May be exposed to hot temperatures from ovens.
- May work close to others, usually within a few feet.
- Compliant with ventilation, cleanliness, space, lighting, and temperature.
- Standing, sitting, or kneeling involved.
- May repeat the same movement.
- Often wear safety equipment such as gloves, hair nets, steel toed safety shoes/boots and beard nets.
- Ability to bend or twist their body.
- Must be able to lift, up to 50lbs.
