WaveSuite is a unified platform designed to streamline network planning, deployment, and lifecycle management for Nokia Optical hardware. In this role, you will contribute to early-stage research and development (R&D) initiatives and report directly to an R&D Technical Manager. WaveSuite is a unified platform designed to streamline network planning, deployment, and lifecycle management for Nokia Optical hardware. We are seeking a creative and energetic developer who is eager to help shape the future of network automation.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
- Interact with experienced development team members to understand the scope and intent of the assignment.
- Translate feature concepts into a software design, and prototypes and complete a peer review, as well as develop and optimize feature functionality to meet the design specifications and resolve any software issues found during testing of the feature.
- Pay special consideration to scale, throughput and performance consideration while developing features on the product
- Debug issues in previously released software deliveries and support issues reported
You have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Networking with a focus on Optical Networking.
- Internship experience in software development and building prototypes in the context of optical networking.
- Internship experience with technologies like Python, Spring, Java, and JavaScript, with experience in building client-server architecture-based apps.
- Understanding of scale, throughput, and performance-related considerations and ability to build a web application conforming to stringent performance constraints.
- Fluency in English with solid written and oral communication skills.
- Previous intern or co-op experience at Nokia.
