Contributes to the overall success of the Global Risk Management (GRM) Finance department ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted comply with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures The primary focus of this position is to support the Financial Planning & Analysis processes of the operating expense budget of several Risk Functions in GRM, including periodic reporting and ad-hoc analysis. The incumbent supports and collaborate with multiple stakeholders (up to VP level) across the GRM Risk Functions, Corporate Functions and Business Line Finance teams
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Expense Management: In support of GRM financial goals, this role ensures GRM operating expenses are exercised within approved budget by identifying and investigating variances, reviews monthly accruals are properly recorded and advises stakeholders on Bank’s expense policies
- Management Reporting, Forecasting & Planning: Supports the maintenance and production of expense and headcount forecasting and planning models and develops summary analyses used to prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management financial reports to GRM and Business Line stakeholders.
- Relationship Management: The incumbent will develop and maintain working relationships with designated points of contact of each of the GRM Risk Functions and transit owners (generally VPs) providing support, information and direction on regular forecasting/planning processes and ad-hoc requirements
- The incumbent will support the team in building ad-hoc financial reports from OPEX/OBI / Tier4 and reports for business line allocations using GIST/OBI
- Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business
- CPA/CFA preferable, MBA is an asset
- Must have minimum 4+ years in financial analysis, forecasting & planning, expense management
- Must have strong skills analyzing large data sets in Excel, applying filters and pivot tables and using visualization tools (e.g. Power BI)
- Working experience using financial reporting and planning tools (EGL, Hyperion, OBI, Smartview)
- Organized and detail-oriented, with curiosity to find process efficiencies
- Ability to clearly communicate financial insights to non-finance professionals
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with the stakeholders
