Job Description

Aramark is seeking a passionate and experienced Executive Chef to take the helm of our culinary operations at Bishop’s University in Sherbrooke, Quebec. This is a unique opportunity to inspire and serve a vibrant community of students and faculty through exceptional food experiences.

As the Culinary Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind all kitchen and catering operations on campus. From crafting innovative menus to leading a dedicated culinary team, your mission will be to deliver excellence, exceed expectations, and ensure complete satisfaction for our clients and guests.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise, organize, cook and manage the entire meal production process
• Supervise and coordinate the kitchen and service team, fostering teamwork and a collaborative atmosphere
• Be able to respond to operational needs
• Ensure high quality food services and customer satisfaction
• Optimize food and labor costs
• Implement various marketing plans
• Develop and enforce job descriptions
• Place orders
• Ensure application of management, health, hygiene and food safety programs
• Take monthly inventory
• Manage customer relations

Qualifications

• 4 to 5 years experience in a high-volume food service or restaurant environment
• Bilingualism in French/English is an asset
• Knowledge of MS Office suite
• Excellent leadership skills
• Demonstrate rigor and method in daily work.
• Certificate in hygiene and sanitation from MAPAQ
• Diploma in food service management/dietary technology/DEP in institutional cooking
