WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a highly detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Specialist to join our Total Rewards team. This is a 1 year contract position. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of global payrolls and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. The Payroll Specialist will also support benefits administration, reporting, and continuous process improvements within payroll operations.
This is a hybrid role based out of our Toronto office.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a highly detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Specialist to join our Total Rewards team. This is a 1 year contract position. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of global payrolls and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. The Payroll Specialist will also support benefits administration, reporting, and continuous process improvements within payroll operations.
This is a hybrid role based out of our Toronto office.
WHAT YOU'D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE
- Prepare and execute full-cycle payrolls for global employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Process year-end activities, including reporting and reconciliations
- Review and update employee records for new hires, active employees, and terminations
- Enter payroll transactions and benefit updates, maintaining data accuracy across systems
- Calculate and process termination payrolls and Records of Employment (or equivalent in other regions)
- Ensure payroll compliance with federal, provincial, and local legislation
- Submit payroll remittances such as source deductions, pensions, and other statutory filings
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external regulations
- Provide clear, accurate guidance to employees regarding payroll and time & attendance inquiries
- Support payroll-related projects within the Total Rewards team
- Demonstrated experience in full-cycle payroll administration
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation (federal, provincial, and local)
- Hands-on experience with Ceridian Dayforce or similar
- Solid understanding of accounting principles as they relate to payroll
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong MS Office skills.
