DIGITAL MARKETING MANAGER – Canada Office
The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for the content management for Children Believe’s digital platforms to effectively communicate our brand narrative, maximize awareness and drive revenue. The position in close collaboration and alignment with Story & Creative team sources, writes, edits and publishes digital content with informational support from colleagues across all 7 Children Believe locations. This also includes curating and implementing the digital content calendar in alignment with the needs of the different internal business units, while ensuring we grow our digital properties following best practices. This position works collaboratively and cross-functionally with multiple business units to promote accurate and timely output of content.
This role includes, but not limited to:
Content Management of Websites
- Manage, write, edit, and update content across all digital platforms, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities, brand standards, and audience needs.
- Assign, research, write, edit, and proofread blogs and long-form content.
- Collaborates with the UX and SEO Specialist to keep the site current with new statistics, projects, press releases, bios, and other timely updates, while enhancing site authority through SEO strategies, strategic partnerships, and optimized content.
- Improve individual pages in collaboration with page stakeholders, guided by digital best practices.
- Maintain and update core pages—including all country office pages.
- Source and curate video, photos, and other creative assets for site pages by utilizing CBs Digital Asset Management system and in collaboration with Story & Creative.
- Collaborate with vendors and communications teams to create/edit webpages, videos, and other multimedia content.
- Test, monitor, and analyze content performance metrics, including competitor activity, to inform future updates.
Digital Campaign Content Management
- Support the Director, Digital Experience, in delivering compelling digital engagement initiatives for supporters and other stakeholders.
- Manage the digital marketing calendar to plan, schedule, and coordinate campaigns, ensuring timely content delivery across all channels.
- Use multiple platforms, including Meltwater and internal scheduling tools, to plan, schedule, and monitor content across all social media channels.
- Plan, create, edit, and deploy email marketing campaigns, including fundraising appeals, newsletters, and supporter updates, ensuring alignment with brand standards and audience engagement goals.
- Lead the transition of email marketing from Mailchimp to Dynamics 365, ensuring smooth migration, data integrity, and team adoption of new workflows.
Social Media, Digital Assets & Engagement
- Plan, create, and manage content including: social media posts, digital download internal newsletter, digital assets, and web materials tailored to each platform, audience, and campaign objective.
- Provide digital engagement support, including online community management, influencer outreach, and advising internal teams on digital best practices and opportunities.
Digital Production & Service Delivery
- Provide hands-on digital production support for cross-departmental needs, including creating, editing, formatting, and publishing digital assets, webpages, email templates, and social content.
- Translate creative concepts and messaging from internal teams into polished, production-ready deliverables across digital platforms.
- Manage the execution of digital assets in collaboration with designers, writers, vendors, and country offices, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with campaign objectives.
- Troubleshoot technical or formatting issues during the production process and coordinate with vendors or IT when needed.
- Act as the point of contact for internal teams requesting digital support, prioritizing and balancing production workload to meet organizational needs.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Monitor performance and prepare reports on digital campaign KPIs, engagement levels, and reach, including updating the DX dashboard to support ongoing reporting and analysis.
- Provide input and support for campaign recap reporting in collaboration with analytics and channel leads, identifying actionable insights to inform future work.
- Stay current on industry trends, cultural moments, and competitor activity to inspire fresh approaches to campaign planning and storytelling.
Leadership & Staff Development
- Lead, motivate and support the Digital Community Coordinator
- Articulate expectations by setting goals and monitoring to ensure the results
The ideal candidate possesses:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Digital Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration
- Minimum 5 years of experience in digital marketing, content management, digital experience or a related role, preferably in a multi-stakeholder or non-profit environment.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing the development of creative content
- Proven track record of planning, creating, and managing content across websites, social media platforms, and digital campaigns.
- Experience coordinating projects involving multiple stakeholders, including agencies, designers, country offices, and internal teams.
- Familiarity with vendor management and working collaboratively with creative and technical teams.
- Experienced in leveraging CRM and Google Analytics data, with proficiency in the current CMS.
Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for various platforms and audiences.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage timelines, prioritize tasks, and coordinate cross-functional work.
- Creative thinker who stays current on digital trends, cultural moments, and competitor activities to inform strategy.
Technical Skills
- Experience with social media management tools and platforms.
- Strong understanding of SEO best practices, analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), and website performance metrics.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously by multi-tasking and work under tight deadlines with advanced organization skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible hours
Type: Hybrid/Remote
Our Hybrid Workplace Program is a flexible work arrangement that permits employees to work remotely while also occasionally being required to come into the Organization’s office. If approved to work from home as part of our Hybrid workplace program; the incumbent must be available to work from the Organization’s office from time to time as determined by the supervisor or as otherwise directed by the Organization.
Compensation: Between $72,000 - $82,000 annually based on experience.
