HR Generalist - Manufacturing

Stellantis is hiring for the HR Generalist position to provide support for all talent acquisition, performance management, employment administration, and talent development related functions at the Windsor Assembly Plant in the manufacturing setting. Full time and contract positions available.
Main responsibilities include recruitment and onboarding, management of appraisal cycles, reporting and analytics for HR initiatives, headcount and manpower tracking, administration of all employment status changes and leave programs in accordance with company policy and union contracts, and in compliance with employment legislation.
The HR Generalist is the first point of contact for questions and concerns providing guidance and assistance to employees and the management team regarding HR policies and procedures, employment related matters, and employee engagement initiatives.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Supporting all hiring and onboarding of hourly, salary, and skilled trades employees to meet Operational requirements
- Conducting interviews and pre-hire assessments
- Data entry and workflow administration in Company HRIS system
- Status changes including leave tracking, retirement, termination administration
- Interpreting and administering collective agreements
- Projects and assignments dedicated to diversity, inclusion and engagement
- Training, learning, and people development programs
- Providing support for labour relations and collective bargaining

Requirements:Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Strong interest in expanding your career and growing as a Human Resources professional
- Minimum 18 months post graduate experience in the Human Resources field
- Interest working in an automotive manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication, team building and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational, attention to detail, and record keeping skills
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications and HRIS systems
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business or related field
- Strong project management and analytical skills
- Prior human resources or labour relations experience in a unionized environment
- Prior direct experience in talent acquisition, performance management, or labour relations
- Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations including: Ontario Human Rights Code, Employment Standards Act, Labour Relations Act and the Occupational Health and Safety Act
