Stellantis is seeking a knowledgeable and collaborative Labour Relations Manager to lead strategic and transactional labour relations activities at Windsor's multi-shift vehicle assembly plant. Human Resources Professionals are challenged to take on responsibilities that will enhance their skills in leadership, problem-solving and communications. They work as business partners aligned to Operational goals and objectives.

Specific duties include:

  • Administer a consistent application of the collective agreements which cover diverse groups of employees including production, skilled trades, engineering and administration
  • Serve as the primary contact for local plant union representatives and manage day-to-day labour relations matters
  • Lead and support local negotiations including preparation, strategy and implementation of collective agreements
  • Advise and guide operating management on interpretation of collective agreements, employment legislation, and company policies
  • Manage, coach and develop a team of labour relations representatives
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local union leadership stakeholders
  • Manage local grievance process and disciplinary procedures
  • Manage the attendance procedure and drive continuous improvement
  • Conduct and review workplace investigations
  • Maintain accurate records of labour activities, agreements and disputes
  • Additional responsibilities include leadership training and development, diversity, inclusion & employee engagement activities, return to work and accommodation procedures

Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or Business
  • Minimum FIVE (5) years of progressive experience in the Human Resources/Labour Relations field
  • Previous work experience in Human Resources with an emphasis in labour relations in a unionized environment
  • Proven experience in grievance handling and collective bargaining
  • Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management and employees to accomplish operational goals
  • Demonstrated experience managing a team of direct reports
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and legislation including: Ontario Human Rights Code, Employment Standards Act, Labour Relations Act, Occupational H&S Act
  • Strong leadership, team building and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications and HRIS systems
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
