Job Introduction
Skilled Sr. Infrastructure Administrator to manage and support our data center and remote plant sites. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with VMware in a Windows environment, ensuring the stability and efficiency of our IT infrastructure
Canada - BC - Richmond
Key Responsibilities
Manage and Maintain IT Infrastructure: Oversee the operation and maintenance of data centers and remote plant sites, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
VMware Administration: Install, configure, and manage VMware environments, including vCenter and vSphere. .
Windows Server Management: Administer Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, and Group Policies.
Cloud: Manage applications, servers, and authentication in Microsoft Azure
Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
Security Management: Ensure the security of the IT infrastructure by implementing and maintaining security policies, firewalls, and antivirus solutions.
Troubleshooting and Support: Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for hardware and software issues, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and problems.
Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of the IT infrastructure, including network diagrams, configuration settings, and standard operating procedures.
Project Management: Lead and participate in IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with a focus on VMware, Windows, and Azure environments.
Certifications: VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), or equivalent certifications preferred.
Skills
Experience with other cloud-based infrastructure and services.
Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell).
Experience with storage array, (disk, raid, volume, iscsi)
Experience with Citrix and Veeam
Knowledge of ITIL best practices.
Work Environment
This position may require occasional travel to remote plant sites.
On-call availability for emergency support.

- Strong knowledge of VMware, and related technologies.
- Strong knowledge of Azure Entra ID, and Azure Compute
- Proficiency in Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS and Group Policies.
- Knowledge of certificates for authentication and web servers
- Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with other cloud-based infrastructure and services.
