Exceptional specialized clinical care is provided to children in South Western Ontario from faculty committed to child health.

Responsibilities


The Project Coordinator/Manager will be responsible for supporting and overseeing all aspects of iSPEAK Social Paediatrics within the Department of Paediatrics. The incumbent will coordinate and provide ongoing leadership of the project, and manage all project phases by setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring and summarizing progress and results. The incumbent will engage various stakeholders, ensure project support and sponsorship, and provide leadership and direction to the project team.

Qualifications

Education:
  • Undergraduate Degree; Project Management Professional certification preferred

Experience:
  • 2 years' work experience in a related field


Preferred candidate would have the following skills

  • research experience
  • experience working with trainees of various types (grad students, residents etc)
  • experience working with children and families who are marginalized, have experienced adversity, and/or have other barriers to accessing health care in traditional settings
  • ideally have a skill set directly applicable to the goals and objectives of iSPEAK (serivce delivery, research)
  • has a network of community collaborators
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • highly organized

Tasks:

  • coordinate the planning and implementation of iSPEAK activities
  • work directly with Western Facilities in the planning phases of iSPEAK
  • explore and apply for grant opportunities to support iSPEAK activities
  • facilitate meetings and collaborations between iSPEAK partners
  • manage budgets for ispeak
  • collaborate with LHSC master planning and other CH and LHSC departments to forcast and prepare for iSPEAK compatability with LHSC systems
