Student Research Assistant - Fall 2025

Faculty/Department Faculty of Education Unit Education-Other Employee Group CUPE 2419 CUPE 5791 Job Family Category Student Number of Vacancies 1 Position Summary The successful applicant will be responsible for:

• Conducting literature reviews and information syntheses;
• Developing and circulating the call for research participants;
• Communicating with school principals and students (potential participants) regarding participation in the study;
• Assisting principal investigator (PI) with scheduling and conducting research interviews;
• Transcribing and editing Zoom video interviews;
• Assisting researcher with analyzing transcripts;
• Writing research reports and summaries;
• Assisting PI with developing teacher workshops; and
• Presenting locally on research results.

Position Requirements The successful applicant will:

• Be a current graduate student at the University of Regina, with preference for students enrolled in a MEd in the Faculty of Education;
• Experience with qualitative research procedures, including interviewing and analyzing qualitative data an asset;
• Experience with K-12 mathematics, STEM education, critical and culturally responsive pedagogies, and/or minoritized/marginalized learning communities;
• Have strong academic reading and writing skills;
• Be independent and self-motivated to accomplish work as discussed with, and assigned by, the PI; and
• Have proficiency and expertise in American Psychological Association (APA) format.
