What you’ll be doing
Reading Mentors support newcomer children and parents with their reading and English conversation skills.
The time commitment is a weekly commitment of 2 hours one evening a week (Tuesday or Wednesday, 5-7pm) for 6-8 weeks a session.
Volunteer Orientation: October 1
You will be paired up with a newcomer family to support them with their reading and participation in the program. We focus on child participation and learning through play.

Requirements

Willing to undergo a background or police records check
Over “age of majority” in province of opportunity
