Position Summary
Are you an Adult Mental Health and Addictions Clinician looking to highlight your knowledge, skills, and abilities in a new and dynamic environment? We currently have an opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Adult Psychiatry department.Under the direction and supervision of the Team Leader of the Adult Psychiatry Unit, as part of the multidisciplinary team, the Mental Health and Addictions Clinician works with persons admitted to the Adult Psychiatry Unit for Acute treatment of Mental Health and Addiction issues. As part of the multidisciplinary team, through assessment and monitoring of each client, the Mental Health and Addictions Clinician develops and implements a plan of personal care and intervention to assist the client in managing the symptoms of their illness. Thereby the client can return to the community, and connect with appropriate follow up services.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an Allied Health Discipline
- Two years experience in Mental Health and Addictions.
- CPR and Foodsafe Certification.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, families, members of the multidisciplinary team and the public.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Ability to organize work and implement a plan of care.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
