Purpose

Contribute to the overall success of Total Wealth growth initiatives and programs across Scotia Wealth Management with a focus on digital sales enablers and platforms. This includes consulting with client-facing teams, and collaborating with key partners across Global Wealth Solutions, Marketing and Communications to develop and implement effective sales campaigns to support advisor and client growth, as well as internal and external partnerships and referrals. The National Consultant will report to the Managing Director, Total Wealth Transformation, and is a key member of the Practice Excellence team, supporting advisor development, growth and partnerships.

The Practice Excellence team provides training, practice management and analytical solutions that are aligned to SWM’s strategic priorities and is focused on enabling our in-field advisory teams and leaders to effectively run and grow Total Wealth businesses at every stage of the employee life cycle.

Accountabilities

Digitally enabling advisors to run and grow robust Total Wealth businesses:

  • Builds sales programs that drive the adoption of Total Wealth across advisory businesses leveraging programs, practice management, and marketing resources
  • Contributes the success of Total Wealth programs intended develop new opportunities, facilitate the sharing of best practices, and deepen relationships across the bank.
  • Increase advisor skills and business development across digital platforms
  • Create turnkey digital sales campaigns to support advisor brand engagement, prospecting and client engagement goals
  • Provide support and training to advisors and relationship managers on digital sales platforms and best practices
  • Leverage Total Wealth programs to develop engaging and on-brand sales resources for advisor use across digital sales platforms
  • Facilitate and deliver digital sales campaigns and best practices nationally in large, medium and small groups virtually and in-person

Leading internal and external partnerships to support Total Wealth program growth:

  • Manage and build strategic relationships with internal and external strategic relationships to ensure successful business outcomes and alignment with Scotia Wealth Management’s growth strategy
  • Consult with in-field leaders, advisors, relationship managers and partners to that are designed to meet the evolving needs of current and future clients
  • Develop strong in-field relationships by consulting with advisors, relationship managers and in-field leadership to create a central hub of sales best practices that can be implemented across national markets
  • Collaborate with marketing, communications and other key stakeholders to ensure cohesive strategic messaging and brand consistency
  • Incorporate current and innovative digital sales strategies and tactics into Total Wealth programs and initiatives including advisor training, client events, partnership content
  • Cultivate and share effective sales practice across markets and sales platforms and mediums including social media, video, websites, etc.

Working closely with the Total Wealth Transformation team to develop strategic initiatives to support business growth strategy:

  • Contribute to the annual strategic business planning process to ensure Total Wealth programs and campaigns the overarching Scotia Wealth Management goals to deliver more Total Wealth to existing clients; grow through external clients; and enable growth through all-bank partnerships
  • Continually measure and report the effectiveness of strategic initiatives to ensure investment in sales campaigns are creating value for advisors, relationship managers and clients
  • Create strategic reporting dashboards, presentations and communications to support executive communications on the effectiveness of program content and training
  • Thoughtfully manage sales campaigns to drive scale and effectiveness across all programs
  • Champions a client-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge
  • Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

Education / Experience / Other Information

  • University degree or equivalent
  • Deep understanding of Wealth Management industry
  • 5 - 7+ years of experience in brokerage advice industry, sales and marketing experience is an asset
  • Bilingual in English and French is an asset
  • Strong experience in marketing and sales communications, digital tools and social platforms
  • Strong project management and organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Understanding of Client mindset via the Wealth Advisor lens
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and other design platforms
  • Excellent knowledge and expertise in digital marketing and social media platforms
