As an Electrical Engineer P.Eng /Designer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems within custom HVAC products. Working closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams, you'll apply your technical expertise to bring complex systems from concept to reality, ensuring compliance with standards and exceeding customer expectations.

As an Electrical Engineer P.Eng /Designer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems within custom HVAC products. Working closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams, you'll apply your technical expertise to bring complex systems from concept to reality, ensuring compliance with standards and exceeding customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize electrical systems, instruments, and controls for HVAC units.
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, and production teams on system design and performance requirements.
- Create technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications using AutoCAD.
- Conduct power system studies, field surveys, and engineering analysis.
- Perform detailed calculations and prepare documentation for construction and manufacturing standards.
- Oversee installation and testing of electrical components to ensure conformance with specifications and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and recommend solutions for operational or client-reported issues.
- Support the development of project budgets, schedules, and procurement specifications.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineering team members.
- Maintain a strong understanding of relevant codes, regulations, and emerging technologies.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in good standing.
- Minimum 5 years of electrical engineering experience, preferably in manufacturing or HVAC industries.
- Minimum 3 years of experience specifically related to HVAC unit design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and electrical drafting standards.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask under tight deadlines and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Familiarity with CSA, NEC, and other applicable standards.
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication or custom manufacturing is an asset.
- Based onsite in a clean and safety-driven manufacturing office.
- Regular interaction with cross-functional teams across engineering, production, and quality.
- Non-remote role with potential for occasional site visits.
