About The Role

As a Manager, Treasury, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the company's cash flow and liquidity. You will be responsible for the strategic management of our cash reserves, minimizing risk, and maximizing returns. This role requires a seasoned professional with exceptional analytical abilities, strategic foresight, and the ability to drive financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive cash management strategies that effectively align with the company's overall financial objectives, ensuring optimal liquidity and financial stability.
  • Conduct regular and in-depth analysis of cash flow patterns to identify opportunities for improvement, cost savings, and risk mitigation, while providing actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Strategically manage relationships with banks and financial institutions to optimize interest rates, efficiently manage credit lines, and secure favorable terms for the company.
  • Facilitate greater collaboration with finance, accounting, and treasury teams to enhance the accuracy of cash flow forecasts and ensure sufficient liquidity to meet the organization's operational and strategic needs.
  • Lead and drive initiatives to evaluate and integrate cutting-edge cash management technologies and systems, improving process efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Continuously monitor global financial markets to anticipate changes and trends that could impact cash flow and profitability, and develop proactive strategies to mitigate potential risks.
  • Prepare, analyze, and present detailed cash flow reports and strategic recommendations to senior management, aligning financial strategies with business goals and facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Mentor and develop junior finance staff, providing training and guidance to enhance their competencies in cash management, financial analysis, and strategic planning.

What You Bring To The Table

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in cash management, treasury, or related financial roles.
  • Proven expertise in cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and financial analysis.
  • Finance/Accounting designation, CFA/CPA
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets and treasury operations, preferably within insurance/financial services.
  • Strong team management and outstanding leadership skills.
  • Strong skills in presenting to and interacting with senior leadership.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Public company reporting experience
  • Bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking and French-speaking colleagues across the country.
