Your Opportunity:
AHS is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (Adult) to join the General Internal Medicine (GIM) team at Sturgeon Community Hospital. This role will focus on providing consultation services, with the ability to work independently, deliver comprehensive patient-centered care, and contribute through advanced clinical practice, leadership, consultation, referrals, and education. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong clinical and interpersonal skills, a passion for professional growth, and a commitment to compassionate care for patients with complex medical needs and their families. The Nurse Practitioner will: Provide a full range of comprehensive health services to adult patients. Integrate advanced clinical skills from both nursing and medicine to assess, diagnose, and manage care. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe treatments, and perform procedures. Support admission consultations from the Emergency Department. Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.

As a Nurse Practitioner (NP), you will provide a full range of comprehensive health services to individuals across their lifespan. You will be responsible for integrating clinical skills associated with nursing and medicine to assess, diagnose, order, and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe treatment, and perform procedures to manage and meet the health needs of patients. Additionally, you will utilize advanced practice nursing competencies related to Clinical Practice, Leadership and Optimizing Health Systems, Education, and Research to increase care quality, promote appropriate use of health services, and inform and influence healthcare systems. Required Qualifications:
Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program, with a minimum of a Master's degree. Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) on the Nurse Practitioner Registrar, including Provisional Graduate Nurse Practitioner licensure. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
