Sessional Lecturers may have preparatory work to do before the start date and sometimes may have to deal with grading tasks after the termination date. Operational training in GIS is included; students should be very comfortable with Windows Position Requirements The successful candidate must
- hold, at a minimum, a MA/MSc degree in Geography or Environmental Studies (as appropriate), or a directly related discipline such as, but not limited to: Environmental Science or Earth Sciences, and be able to demonstrate an ability to teach the course in question;
- Those applicants with PhDs, as well as those enrolled in a PhD program, will be given preference over those with the MA/MSc degree;
- have a record of effective teaching at the post-secondary level;
- have experience managing classroom and online technologies used by the University of Regina (including UR Courses [Moodle]).
