Your Opportunity:
Description:
As a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) I, you will perform a variety of standard technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for the purpose of disease and pathology diagnosis. You will interpret physician requisitions, prepare and assess patients for examination and produce high quality diagnostic images for Physician/Radiologist review, and assist with the care and maintenance of equipment. Your work may include a variety of procedures such as general and portable radiography, mobile and surgical suite examinations, as well as fluoroscopy where required.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
As the ideal candidate, you will have demonstrated exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. You possess strong judgment and decision-making abilities, along with a keen attention to detail and accuracy in your work. You have experience working with trauma and acute care patients. You thrive in high-pressure environments with shifting priorities and are committed to continuously enhancing your knowledge and skills in the field. Collaboration is essential, and you must be able to work effectively with various healthcare disciplines, fostering respect and partnership. This role requires flexibility, including availability for all shifts; days, evenings, nights and weekends. Additionally, you must be capable of performing all physical components of the job, such as pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, twisting, and lifting, carrying, or transferring patients and supplies over 50 lbs. The position also requires wearing lead aprons at various times throughout your shift.
Preferred Qualifications:
3 years' experience in an acute care setting and/or trauma center. Connect Care and Provincial Enterprise Imaging access trained.
