About The Role

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Tax Accountant to join our Tax Group, supporting a wide range of tax projects for our diverse clients.

As a trusted advisor, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality tax compliance, planning, and advisory services. You’ll work closely with clients and internal teams to solve complex problems, identify opportunities, and help clients achieve their business and financial goals.

Projects will include

  • Preparing and reviewing complex personal, trust, partnership, and corporate tax returns, elections, and related filings.
  • Supporting and leading components of corporate reorganizations, estate planning, business acquisitions and dispositions, and compensation strategies.
  • Conducting tax research and analysis, preparing clear summaries, memorandums, and recommendations for internal and client use.

How You’ll Make a Difference

  • Deliver accurate and strategic tax reporting that helps clients stay compliant while optimizing their tax positions.
  • Support informed decision-making through detailed research, planning projects, and preparation of instruction letters and memorandums on key issues.
  • Ensure smooth tax processes by managing correspondence and responding to CRA inquiries professionally and on time.
  • Build strong client relationships by engaging proactively, understanding their needs, and providing responsive, value-driven service.
  • Drive collaboration and efficiency by keeping managers, senior managers, and partners updated to ensure alignment and project success.

Who You Are

You have a strong foundation in Canadian tax and a keen interest in helping clients navigate complex tax matters. You’re organized, analytical, and thrive in a collaborative, high-performing environment.

  • In-depth knowledge of Canadian personal, corporate, trust, and partnership taxation, including preparation and review of returns, elections, and related filings.
  • Proficient with Taxprep (or similar tax software) and confident using accounting and tax research tools.
  • Skilled at interpreting and applying tax legislation, conducting technical research, and preparing clear, well-organized summaries or memorandums.
  • Comfortable communicating with tax authorities, managing CRA inquiries, and preparing professional responses.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and time management skills; able to deliver accurate work under tight deadlines.
  • Collaborative and approachable team player who shares knowledge and supports others’ growth.
  • Strong client service orientation, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Committed to continuous learning and staying current on evolving tax rules, planning strategies, and industry developments.
