This interdisciplinary course introduces students to a range of global issues, including the basics of world geography, history, political and economic systems, and culture. The strong cross-cultural perspective of the course provides students with the necessary foundation to specialize in their own area of interest within the international studies program Position Requirements

- MA or PhD in International Studies, Political Science or related discipline. Preference related to academic qualifications will be given in the following order: applicants with PhDs; applicants who have completed all PhD coursework and are enrolled in a PhD program; applicants who have completed all PhD coursework but are not currently enrolled in a PhD program; applicants who are enrolled in a PhD program but have not completed PhD coursework; applicants with a Masters degree.
- Experience with teaching or research related to the course’s subject matter.
- A record of effective teaching at the post-secondary level.
