The course studies the role of international organizations in contemporary global governance. It examines the functions of global and regional organizations in major issue areas, including peace and security, international economic relations, development, human rights and the environment. It investigates the effectiveness, legitimacy and accountability of the exiting system of global governance Position Requirements
  • MA or PhD in International Studies, Political Science or related discipline. Preference related to academic qualifications will be given in the following order: applicants with PhDs; applicants who have completed all PhD coursework and are enrolled in a PhD program; applicants who have completed all PhD coursework but are not currently enrolled in a PhD program; applicants who are enrolled in a PhD program but have not completed PhD coursework; applicants with a Masters degree.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the course’s subject; a record of academic research and/or publication related to global governance is preferred.
  • A record of effective teaching at the post-secondary level.
Physical Demands Pay Grade Faculty Sessional Salary Range As per URFA Collective Agreement Status Term Work Hours The instructor will deliver the course on campus face-to-face on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1730-1845. Instructors are expected to have one office hour per week.
