1 ‑ Full Time ‑ MDR Operator
Medical Device Reprocessing Department
This position will involve working the Day, Evening & Weekends shifts. The shift is not to be interpreted as a guarantee

About the role: The Hospital strives to deliver care that is centred on patients and families. Patient and Family Centred Care (PFCC) is the provision of care that is respectful of, and responsive to individual patient/family preferences, needs, and values and ensures that those values guide all decisions. Under the general direction of the Manager ‑ MDRD, the MDRD Operator cleans, maintains, wraps sterilizes and distributes medical equipment
Qualifications: * Secondary School Graduation Diploma * Must be currently certified with Medical Device Reprocessing Association of Ontario (MDRAO) * Recertification with (CSAO) every five (5) years is required * Must be trained and competent in the core functions of MDR * Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy, particularly in the operative area, with evidence of training in asepsis or sterile technique * Working knowledge of O.R. instrumentation * Knowledge and skill of sterilization technique according to standards for Vaporized Peroxide and Steam * Ability to work with minimum supervision and in a fast paced team environment * Proven track record of compliance with the Code of Conduct
Salary Range: $27.909 to 28.354
